The Cascade 27 is our newest Cascade sailboat design.  Offered with pre-molded interior modules, she is the easiest of our boats to build.

Although designed as a moderate displacement coastal cruiser, some sailors have been so impressed with her safety, performance and spaciousness, that they have sailed her to Hawaii and even New Zealand.  For excitement, she is also a high performance racing cruiser, wining or placing in the top  of her fleet in such races as the Oregon Offshore and the Swiftsure.

Each Cascade 27 is rigged with a high aspect ratio sail plan, a foil fin keel and a balanced spade rudder with a small skeg, as standard equipment.

Below, the spacious interior comfortably accommodates four adults.  Accommodations include a large "V" berth in the forward cabin and in the main cabin there are port and starboard settees and quarter  berths.  Adding to the feeling of space, is an innovative galley module, which slides into the starboard quarter berth and a fold down table, which serves both settees.  An enclosed head, hanging locker and space for the cabin heater separate the forward stateroom from the main cabin.

Economical and reliable auxiliary power is provided by a compact 9 HP Yanmar 1GM10 diesel engine, located under the companionway.
